Ecommerce CRO agency: more revenue from the traffic you have
You already pay for every visitor, through ads, SEO, email or brand building. Conversion rate optimization is how you get more revenue out of the traffic you’ve bought, without buying more of it.
We’re an ecommerce CRO agency that combines customer research, behavioral analytics and statistically sound A/B testing to lift revenue per visitor on product pages, cart and checkout. No templates, no guaranteed-uplift promises. Just a disciplined experimentation program and a clear record of what worked.
Is a CRO agency worth it?
Revenue per visitor (RPV) = conversion rate × average order value.
Say your store gets 100,000 sessions a month, converts at 2% and has an $80 AOV. That’s $1.60 RPV, or $160,000 a month. A sustained 10% improvement in RPV adds $16,000 a month, or $192,000 a year, without spending another dollar on traffic. And because every paid channel now converts better, your effective CAC drops too.
(Illustrative numbers only; your baseline, traffic and test results will differ.)
CRO is usually worth it when you have steady traffic, enough orders to test reliably, and the ability to implement winning changes. If you don’t yet have enough traffic, we’ll say so and recommend research-led improvements instead of formal testing.
How we find conversion problems
Analytics and behavior data
Funnel analysis in GA4 and your platform’s analytics, by device, traffic source and product category. Heatmaps and session recordings (Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar) show where shoppers hesitate, rage-click or abandon.
Customer research and usability testing
On-site and post-purchase surveys, review mining, support ticket analysis and moderated usability tests. This is where we learn why: shipping costs nobody saw, a returns policy that scares people off, a size chart that answers the wrong question.
Testing with statistical rigor
Every insight becomes a written hypothesis. We prioritize them by expected impact, confidence and effort, then test properly:
Pre-calculated sample sizes and minimum test durations, with no peeking and stopping on a lucky day
One primary metric (usually revenue per visitor or conversion rate) plus guardrails such as AOV and return rate
Full-week cycles, so weekday and weekend behavior are both captured
Honest reporting of losses and flat tests, because they teach you about your customers too
How we prioritize what to test
Most stores have more test ideas than traffic. We score every hypothesis on four questions: How strong is the evidence behind it (analytics, research or a hunch)? How much traffic and revenue does the affected page carry? How big a change is it, and will shoppers notice? How much effort does it take to build? High-evidence, high-traffic, noticeable changes go first. Small cosmetic tweaks on low-traffic pages rarely deserve a testing slot.
Personalization and segmentation
Not every visitor needs the same experience. New and returning customers, mobile and desktop users, and paid and organic visitors often behave very differently. Once the fundamentals are fixed, we test experiences tailored to specific segments: different messaging for first-time visitors from paid social, or loyalty prompts for returning customers. We only personalize where testing shows it pays off.
Where we focus
Product pages
Image and video, size and fit guidance, delivery dates and free-shipping thresholds, reviews and UGC, add-to-cart clarity, and sticky mobile buy buttons.
Cart and checkout
Shipping cost surprises, discount-code fields that send shoppers hunting for coupons, forced account creation, and missing express payments. For most US stores, offering Shop Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal and buy-now-pay-later options such as Affirm, Afterpay or Klarna (where they fit your AOV) is among the most valuable checkout work there is.
Navigation and search
Menu structure, filter logic, on-site search relevance and zero-results pages: how fast shoppers find the right product.
Common paid media mistakes we fix
Scaling budgets faster than creative
Spend goes up, the same five ads fatigue, and CAC climbs.
Optimizing every platform to its own ROAS
Each looks great in isolation while blended efficiency falls.
Retargeting that pays for sales you’d have made anyway
often the biggest hidden waste in a mature account.
Brand search treated as acquisition
flattering paid search performance.
No new-customer view
Spending to re-acquire existing customers instead of finding new ones.
Q4 improvisation
Budgets and creative decided the week before BFCM.

CRO for Shopify stores
Shopify brings specific opportunities and constraints. We test within theme sections, use Shopify-compatible testing tools that don’t slow pages down, and work within Checkout Extensibility for checkout improvements such as trust messaging, delivery promises and upsells. Because we also build on Shopify, winning tests are implemented cleanly in the theme instead of being left running as permanent test code.
UX design
When research points to bigger problems, our UX designers create tested redesigns of key templates. And when experimentation shows the whole store is the constraint, we can plan a wider ecommerce web design project informed by what testing taught us.
CRO audit or ongoing program?
CRO audit: a one-time analysis and research sprint ending in a prioritized roadmap your team can implement.
Ongoing program: continuous research, test design, development and analysis, usually on a monthly cadence. Compounding wins come from here.
For typical market pricing of CRO audits and programs, see our pricing guide. [PLACEHOLDER: our audit/program pricing.]
CRO multiplies the value of the channels feeding your store. More qualified visitors from SEO for online stores give you more to test on. Better conversion lowers the CPA on Google Ads for ecommerce. See how it all fits together in our marketing services.
